The church building is now open for private prayer at the following times:
Monday, Wednesday mornings
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
Friday and Saturdays
10am to 12 noon
2pm to 4pm
6pm – 8pm
This will allow us to monitor who is coming into the building and ensure than hygiene and social distancing good practice is observed, and that cleaning happens after openings. The church foyer, kitchen and lounge will remain closed at the moment, with access into the church only. We hope that as restrictions are eased in the coming weeks, we will be able to extend these times, and move towards having small groups and other gatherings, but are obviously dependent on what is allowed.
Like many other places at the moment, we can only put measures in place such as having hand sanitizers and reminder notices, we cannot ensure that all who enter will observe these, and anyone coming to church will do so at their own risk. Our advice would be if you are worried please do not come to church, remember that we can worship and pray at home or wherever we are.
As we go into the next few weeks, rejoicing that our building will be able to begin opening again, we know that we are still Jesus’ church wherever we are, gathered together or apart, and we can give God the glory he deserved and ask him for whatever is on our heart wherever we are.
In Jesus’ words to the Samaritan woman at the well: “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24)
